Mainsail

The mainsail is the primary sail attached to the mast and boom, and is the largest and most important sail on a sailing yacht. Charter guests on bareboat and skippered charters need to understand deployment and handling, as proper mainsail management directly affects boat performance and safety. The mainsail may be fitted with different furling systems: in-mast furling, in-boom furling, or a lazy bag system for traditional rigging.
