Split provisioning

Split provisioning is an arrangement where the charter company and charterer share responsibility for stocking a yacht with food, beverages, and supplies. Guests encounter this on many bareboat and skippered charters, where the company may provide basic provisions and the charterer adds items or purchases locally. It reduces upfront charter costs and lets renters customize their supplies, though it requires coordination and advance planning to ensure adequate provisions throughout the voyage.
