Draft

Draft is the depth of water required below a yacht's hull, measured from the waterline to the lowest point of the keel or rudder, for the boat to float safely. Charter guests encounter this specification when selecting a vessel or planning routes through shallow waters and anchorages. Shallow-draft boats access more destinations and smaller harbors, while deep-draft vessels offer better open-water performance but require deeper mooring locations and restrict destination choices.
