Saba's prime sailing season runs November through April, with calm seas and consistent trade winds. Temperatures range from comfortable to warm. The summer months bring occasional rain and hurricane season risk, making winter the preferred window for Caribbean charters. Peak season draws more visitors but offers ideal conditions.

Most charter companies require proof of sailing experience or certification, such as ASA or RYA credentials. If you lack formal certification, many operators offer bareboat charters with a professional captain included, ensuring safe navigation and local knowledge around Saba's smaller, more sheltered anchorages.

Week-long Saba yacht charters typically range from $2,500 to $6,000 depending on yacht size, season, and onboard amenities. Off-season charters (summer) offer lower rates; winter premium seasons command higher prices. Costs usually exclude provisions, fuel surcharges, and crew tips, so budget accordingly.

Most Saba charters do not include diving lessons or certification courses; however, dive operators on the island offer affordable shore-based training and guided dives. Many charter companies can arrange pre-booked dive packages. Bring your own equipment or rent locally. A captain experienced in dive site navigation enhances the experience.

Saba's protected marine park hosts colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, rays, and occasional reef sharks. Octopi, moray eels, and parrotfish are common in reef environments.
