Trimaran

A trimaran is a sailboat with three hulls: one main hull in the center and two smaller outrigger hulls on either side. Charter customers encounter trimarans as an alternative to monohulls and catamarans, offering high speed and excellent stability with a narrower footprint than catamarans. These vessels are less common in traditional charter fleets but increasingly available for upscale cruising. Trimarans require specialized handling due to their design, and skippers should have multi-hull experience. They combine the speed advantages of a catamaran with improved windward performance.
