Stand-up paddleboard (SUP)
A stand-up paddleboard is an inflatable or rigid board, typically 10-12 feet long, that guests paddle while standing upright in shallow or calm water. Many yacht charters include SUPs as recreational amenities, allowing guests to explore anchorages and coastal areas independently. Operational considerations include securing the board aboard (typically on davits or deck stowage), confirming guest swimming ability and familiarity before use, and deploying only in protected waters with calm conditions. SUPs are particularly common on crewed and skippered charters where crew can supervise and assist.
