Mooring buoy

A mooring buoy is a floating buoy anchored to the seabed, designed to secure a yacht without dropping the anchor. Charter guests encounter mooring buoys in crowded anchorages, marine reserves, or when anchoring is prohibited by local regulations. Using a mooring buoy requires connecting a boat's mooring line to the buoy via a pickup pennant.
