Advance Provisioning Allowance

An Advance Provisioning Allowance is an upfront fund provided by the charterer to cover provisioning costs such as food, water, and supplies for the charter period. Typically used in crewed and skippered charters, the crew uses the APA to purchase provisions and manage meals during the voyage. At the end of the charter, actual expenses are reconciled against the advance, with any unused balance either refunded to the guest or applied toward the final invoice.
